FAQ
This FAQ answers common questions around tokenized stocks, including how they work, ownership details, dividends, and trading hours.
What are the benefits of trading tokenized stocks on GetRabbit?
Instant trading without the need to convert crypto to fiat.
Self-custodial ownership of tokenized stocks.
Lower fees compared to traditional brokerages.
Global accessibility—no need for a traditional brokerage account.
How does GetRabbit offer tokenized stocks?
We integrate with Dinari, which tokenizes real-world stocks into dShares—1:1 backed tokens representing real-world equities like stocks and ETFs.
Do I receive the actual shares that I buy?
No, the stocks are held by Dinari. Instead, you receive dShares, which are backed by the corresponding stock’s shares.
Do I become a shareholder in a company by purchasing a dShare of it?
No, dShare token holders are not shareholders in any corporation. They hold a security backed by an asset, which is in Dinari's custody.
Are tokenized stocks physically backed?
Yes, all tokenized stocks offered on GetRabbit are fully backed by real assets, ensuring secure ownership. Dinari acts as an SEC-registered money transfer agent to manage these holdings.
Dividends distribution
Dividends will be credited directly to your KYC-verified GetRabbit wallet holding the stocks. A dedicated UI to track and claim dividends, along with viewing dividend percentages per stock, is coming soon.
Can I trade stocks outside of U.S. market hours?
No, stocks can only be traded during U.S. market hours (Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM EST). Orders placed outside these hours will be processed when the market reopens.
